Dear Friends,
Please advise me how long after medicals did u get your visas and did u send your passports to London or Riyad for stamping of visas. Or are the visas posted to you directly.How many weeks does the stamping take if you send by courier. This query is for skilled worker category and for those who have applied from Saudi Arabia.

there is no answer to the question how long after medicals, for most its few months for some its over a year so there is no reasonable answer.
if you get your ppr you will have the option to send passport to london or to have it stamped in Riyadh, sending to london is faster as if you choose riyadh then you will need to wait until london issue your visas and send the visa stickers to riyadh via diplomatic bag a process which may takes few weeks, and then to wait for riyadh to contact you.
the time between ppr and receiving your visa varies depending on how busy the office is and whether its is a holiday time ...etc but in general if you choose london it may be between 2-4 weeks, if you choose riyadh add another 2-4 weeks

Thanks for your valuable reply. Did u too apply from Saudi Arabia ? If Riyad contacts me do I have to send the passports by courier(if so after how long will they return my passports) or If I go personally do they stamp it on the same day and give it to me. In this case will they give me an appointment or I have to produce the letter at the reception in Riyad. Aprrox how many hours do they take if you go in person to stamp the visas.

Hello Vincent,
Once your visas are ready at Riyadh office will call you to collect on some particular day, so morning you can submit and wait for sometime outside embassy or they may ask you to come on evening timings.
I know some companies will not issue your PP for long time to send London office that takes 2-4 weeks. I think sending PP out side Saudi Arabia is illegal.

Thanks for your comments. I dont have any problem sending passports to London since the passports are with me. I agree with you it is ill legal to send passports to another country. Moreover incase its misplaced for some reason or the other I will be stuck in this country for no fault of mine. Finally if I have to go down to my home country on an emergency then what happens ?????
No I did not submit IELTS.

Hello Vincent,
Please share your full timeline.
I believe Riyadh office is the best choice for you to get ride of all your droughts. Since PP is with you can just visit their and get stamped. The only thing is you will get delay for 2-4 weeks more, I think that should not be a big problem since we have been waiting for months.
I would like to know, what are docs you have submitted with your application to avoid IELTS. And what are docs they have requested to you along with your medical.

Hi KMK,
Along with medicals only saudi pcc was requested and accordingly submitted in Dec.2005. Im now awaiting PPR.
You have to attach supporting docs which will confirm that you are good in English. It depends on your job . I submitted all documents written while I was working in my company.

How to obtain PCC is clearly mentioned on CIC websiite. Please do follow it and u will receive within 2 weeks after applying in person to the Police station
