Just wanted to check with you guys if it is better to get PPC from local police station in India or from local visa office in the country of residence.

if u r in india get it from there itself
but if ur outside the country the local visa offcie is better ..

get it from indian embassy if living out side india you can also check from cic web site

If u want to give some bribe (I had to pay 2000/- note: I didn´t have any criminal record, (if I had any, then I guess they might have charged 20,000/-)) to get PCC then get it from local police in india. Else go to embassy people.
