the last contract negotiations are very close to settlement. The union is suspending the majority of job action (good news for us) ...so let´s be hopeful that they will announce today that an agreement has been reached and we can all go back to our regular anxious waiting!

Does that mean they would be a settlement by this week and the processing will continue hopefully by next week or so. Please respond. Thanks for the update.

clarification (in reply to: strike update #2)
everything I have read says that processing of applications have not been affected. Everything has been progressing as normal. The union will not be voting on the latest government offer until sometime in December. Until then, it is work as usual.
