Subject: Geting employed in the US |
I would like to know whether Permanent Residents (Landed Immigrants) in Canada can be easily employed in the US? Are there some hurdles to be cleared first? I am most concerned with the required paper work. All contributions will be highly appreciated.

(in reply to: Geting employed in the US) You need to get H1-B unless you are a citizen.
does that answer your question?

(in reply to: Geting employed in the US) Thanks Joe.
One last question! What is the relationship betweent H1-B and the Greencard?

(in reply to: Geting employed in the US) H1-B is the first step towards getting your greencard (warning: very slow process)
greencard is synonymous to Canadian PR

(in reply to: Geting employed in the US) US green card takes anywhere between 4-7 years now.. Mine is in process, but can´t wait to be in the same job for anohter 5 years to get my GC, so have decided to move on and actually move to Canada...

(in reply to: Geting employed in the US) Brian,
Thanks for the advice. But honestly getting employed in Canada too is another ball game altogether.
