| Subject: 98 months and still waiting!!! |
We have been waiting for more than 98 months for our application to be finalized and still nothing. What´s the point? We applied in Islamabad...others is same situation?

I got My PPR from Islamabad also.

98 months is tooooooooooooooo much man......go on hunger strike infront of embassy.......why the hell there is nothing they could to finalize your case......write a beautiful letter, explain your situation and fax the letter to embassy and ask them what is the reason of such delay and order CAIPS notes as well.......when writing a letter to embassy, dont forget to mention your file no. and complete name with date of birth......can you also give your timeline if when did you start and what have you received so far.....good luck

There is a strong possibility that the officer appointed to look after your case might have died.
What have you been doing for all those 98 months? Did you try to contact them? What is your time line; under what category did you apply? Tell us little more about you file.

I applied under the SW category back in 1998, AOR, June 1998, IA, February 1999, Medicals 2001. Since them nothing. I have contacted them a few times and all times they have said ´in progress´ etc. What if they have lost my application. If I was rejected shouldn´t they have notyfied me at least? I scored well above the required points needed, but I was also told that Islamabad office takes a loong time, but 98 months and counting is a little bit over the board.

most probably your file was archived, they do so when they contact you and fail or you do not respond to their instruction, order CAIPS and see whats the problem. could be that they sent you a second medical or a RPRF request but you never respnded or the letter never reached you for some reason, after they wait a specific periond they archive your file so that they can look at other files.

Inquire about your case aggressively buddy. Well, i know another guy in India who has waiting since Jan 2000. Dont know whats up with CIC.
