They are requesting fresh FBI now, how long
will it take to request the card and get the final
report from FBI, the application says I should
submit it within 90 days along with proof of funds.

Hi Brian, did you get a Transfer letter before your IA? When exactly did you apply? Nov 04? In-Canada applicant?

Thanks :)

Brian,

FBI report can be expedited. Put a deadline date on your cover letter and on the envelope. You´ll get the report within 2 to 3 weeks.

FBI Cards are available from local police (some), private investigation company and I believe can be downloaded from FBI site, please visit this link.

Thanks Harp,

I am waiting....I have just sent my IELTS results y´day.
I was sad that I got a request in Dec´05 when I was hoping for IA. ´Coz of IELTS my processing got delayed by 3 months.
So I hope that Brian will let us know what documents he submitted along with the application and if he got an interview waiver, so that I will get ready with those docs.
I submitted by spouse docs today, don´t know if it further delays the processing. * Crossing my Fingers*

Thanks,
Mamtha

FBI form cannot be downloaded !!
Its of a certain quality to retain your fingerprints. My suggestion is to get the fingerprinting done from local police dept or private notary/insvestigator ASAP and send it to FBI with a cover letter requesting them for results before the deadline.

Hi Raj...the following is from the FBI FAQ portion....FYI

link: http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/faqs.html

7. Can I use the fingerprint card I download from this site?

Yes, the CJIS Division will accept the downloaded paper fingerprint card only for the purpose of requesting a FBI Identification Record for personal review. Although, if you go to a law enforcement agency or private fingerprinting agency to be fingerprinted they may prefer to use a fingerprint card on standard card stock. You may use the fingerprint card provided by the printing agency.
