Living near Lake Simcoe

Subject: Living near Lake Simcoe

I will be landing with my wife & small child in Toronto late summer and as such I want to cut to a minimum the amount of time we spend in rented accommodation. Can anyone advise me as to the suitabilty/best neighbourhoods for bringing up a family in the Lake Simcoe areas (Georgina, Keswick etc).
