| Subject: Visiting Canada in next 4 weeks for SIN card |

Hello Folks,
I would be visiting Canada in next 4 weeks for applying the SIN card as my visa expires soon. As per the cic website, there are various centers for applying in person for the SIN card. Could some one please let me know some geographic information about Canada as with US one can figure out from the zip code how far is place A from place B. Because with much research on mapquest.ca I could not get enough information. I plan to visit the following center in Toronto :
1.Toronto Centre Service Canada Centre -
Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
25 St Clair Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, M4T 3A4
** Services provided in English and French (Bilingual)
2. Secondly, is the GTAA airport the best place to get to this location ?
3. Any motel near by this center would be a great help ?
Also what I understand one can apply for a SIN number and the card is sent to address in Canada after 3 - 4 weeks of putting in your application. PR card is completely different when does one get the PR card ? The Health card can only be applied after 3 months of stay in Cananda.
Early response will be a great help.

how do you expect to get a SIN card if you are coming to canada as a visitor?
you can´t get a SIN # unless you´re a citizen, PR, or a temporary one if you are on a work permit.

I´m not sure about your question, but when you land, they give you forms for PR Card, SIN and OHIP... PR Card generally takes 30 days according to the CIC website for first time cards.
