Hi Guys,
I had my skilled worker immigration interview in New York City yesterday (7th Feb). The interview was very cool. I was not asked a lot of questions. I had done my medical exam a long time back so they had the medical results and as everything else was complete they issued my visa on the same day.
I took a flight from New York to Toronto today and completed the landing procedure. The process was complete in 10 minutes and the customs official greeted me with "Welcome to Canada".
Here is my timeline:
Applied - Dec 2003
AOR - Jan 2004
IA - Aug 2004 - Interview required in New York City
Medical - March 2005
IELTS - April 2005
File transfer to New York city - July 2005
Interview notice - Nov 2005 - Was told that the interview will be on 7th Feb 2006
Interview - 7th Feb 2006 @ 9:30 AM
PR Visa issued - 7th Feb 2006 @ 2:30 PM
Landed in Canada - 8th Feb
It took 26 months to complete my case which I think is pretty good.
