So I was at work today when the Canadian Consulate called at 1.30pm. They said they where ready to issue my visa and told me to send my passport via registered mail. They said I would get my passport back with the visa in around 10 working days. Dam Sydney was fast! My family class was received by this office ( Sydney Consulate ) on 16 January 2006 and I have my Passport request today ( 24 days later ). So this Skippy plans to Land next month! Yippee!!
Timeline. I was sponsored by my wife.

We started processing your application on December 10, 2005.
We sent you a letter on January 03, 2006 about the decision on your application.

I guess you are an Aussie concerning your colour and nationality?? This is how Australia makes things work harder... hehe...

Hey,
This is a good news for you and other family class applicants . I saw that Sydney has now much worse processing than other Asia paciic offices like Taipei. In fact for skilled workers now it is more than 35 months.By the time I receive the PPR I may be old age pension.

congratulations! good to see sydney is doing something! i applied under sw in jan 05 and am looking at a very long wait here compared to what they were initially advertising...
