Steve,

They don´t really care about the goods that you are taking with you while landing ! You need to fill up the B4A form for the items that you may bring afterwards.

I went through both the forms. To me, it appears the forms you need when you are landing is B4.

B4A, I believe, is needed when anyone is importing stuff into Canada for which duties need to be paid.

TexasRangers,

I disagree on that. They DO care about what goods are you going to bring with you AND the ones that will follow.

PPRWait,

I landed 2 weeks back at Pearson International Airport, Toronto and the custom officials weren´t really interested in the goods that I was carrying with me while landing. But, they were more interested in the goods that I may bring afterwards. Because of my lack of prior experience/knowledge, I had filled both B4/B4A forms but the officer ,present there, kept the B4A form (for the items to follow) with her and gave a photocopy of the B4A form for my personal records.

Hi Steve,

I landed at Pearson International Airport, Toronto yeaterday and the custom official did not even look at the goods accompanying list. He just looked at the goods to follow list, stamped them and gave me back one copy.

But you should prepare a goods accompanying list as they may ask you to provide it. I filled in the B4A form for both the goods accompanying and goods to follow list.
