Subject: IELTS Query
Firstly congrats to Steve & Joe...Wish you all good luck for landing!

We are in the process of submitting the documents to CIC. But wanted to know the latest time to submit IELTS? As in, we are planning to take the IELTS by Mar 12th. But ideally would receive results by March end. Wouldn´t want to wait till that time to submit. But want to know at what time will they ask for IELTS. Is there a way we can submit application, and then even after AOR, be safe enough to send IELTS results? And what is IA?

Regards
Rads

Better to wait and supply all documents at once. Looks more professional and shows that you understand and follow basic requirements. Should you apply and submit IELTS later this may delay processing by about 3 months anyway.
Up to you if can´t wait...

I don´t think you have to wait until IELTS. I got IELTS request 5 months after AOR.
does not seem like a delay of 2/3 months to submit IELTS matters..
I would submit the application ASAP and get in the Queue.

Better to submit the application now and submit IELTS when ever its ready. Itll save time and they will attach IELTS results to your file without any problem or delay.Good luck

Thanks...

I agree that you can submit now and IELTS later. However please make sure that you will include an explanation and/or proofs of your knowledge of the English language, otherwise CIC might consider your documents incomplete.

Also, when you submit the IELTS later, make sure that you already have a file number. You need to mention your file number in all your future communications with CIC.

good luck

Yep you need some kind of proof that you know English .. like a note from your college .. or your current work ... or an essay I think .. i forgot what is in the instructions already ... a

nd then just send IELTS later when requested ... it might delay you a bit .... as it will/might still be requested ... but if you wait longer ... your place in the queue would also be delayed so it´s gonna be the same ..

you get delayed now .. or get delayed later (or maybe not)...
