Subject: Birth certificate requirements
Hi,

I am planning to apply for canadian permenant residence. However, I don´t have a birth certificate. Is there any other alternate documentation that I can submit instead of a birth certificate ?

Please let me know
Thanks.

I submitted my 10 std. mark sheet on which Father´s name and my DOB is present which was accepted( as my PR is recently approved). Some say that passport DOB pages are sufficient for proof of DOB. So,in reality, I am not sure in my case which document was considered valid.

Alternative to birth certificate (in reply to: Birth certificate requirements)
I am planning a week-end trip to Canada in the near future and have discovered that I do not have my birth certificate to meet the requirements of having 2 pieces of identification. I have requested a certified copy of my birth certificate but haven´t rec´d. it yet. In the event I don´t have it by the time I go on my trip, is there any alternative documentation I could provide at the boarder crossing besides my driver´s license? Thank you for your assistance.
