Hi ppl,
I happlied in Nov 2003, Got a file number since then my e-client status is "We started processing your application on 15Dec 2003".
Any Idea by when should i expect my visa???

current processing time is 68 months for New Delhi and these days it´s 2000 and 2001 people who are getting visas.

Pal, This process not that slow earlier. But september 11 incident in US forced Canadian Immigration Service to close down for 3-4 months. That created a backlog. and then the rules and point system changed and they got more careful while making background checks. All this lead to slow processing.
Recently, CIC has been directed to clear the backlog. And from ´Backlog´they mean cases from 2000-2001 onwards.
You have to patiently wait for your turn and i suggest you to just forget about it and live your life as would you normally do. Just keep on informing them the changes that occur in your life. You´ll get a letter from them whenever your turns arrive.

Hey Stranger,
I have my Brother and Sister already in canada permanent residents.They tell me job scene is bad there .... I am a S/w engg. don´t what will happen... God knows y these embassy fellas taking so long.... they need to Wake up guess they are worse than indian Babus :-)

:-). Buddy, even if the job scene is good, you are not going to get a S/W engineer´s job rightaway because just like any other immigrant you´ll lack the so called ´Canadian Experience´. so get ready for a labour job in a packing factory or work as fruit picker etc etc.

I APPLIED IN JAN2004, HAD AN INTERVIEW DEC 2005 BUT SO FAR NOT RECD CALL FOR MEDICAL.HOW LONG DOES THIS TAKE.INTERVIEW HAD GONE WELL.
