I became out of status in US and was called for interview by Buffalo. Will that be a problem?

Hey buddy, did u apply for canadian immigration? Did u apply in Buffalo? If your answer is yes then why are u surprised on interview call. Canadain consulate will not call u for an interview if you are not in your legal status in US. You might be called for an interview because there must be something in your application they they need to clarify through interviewing u personally. It would be helpful to guide u properly if you describe your situation in detail. Thanks

If you are out of status in US and living there illegaly that could be a big problem for your application. If CIC realizes that you are illegal in the US, they will probably not favor your application for Canada. Get back into legal status asap.

It´s not possible to get back into legal status once you have been out of status anyway, unless you get married to US citizen, if he was doing that why would he want to migrate to Canada.

If you can, try to get CAIPS as soon as possible so you will know what is the reason they called you for interview (what was their concern in your application).
When approximatley would you have that interview?
