Subject: IA and some thoughts - vikky
  Hi Guys,
I got the IA last week, interview is waived and the only docs req is medicals. I applied as SW in buffalow dec 2004, got AOR in March 05,I was asked to take ielts, My file was tranfered to newyork on january 25th , by the way am in-canada applicant (student)..

My thoughts abt 67 points - For in canada applicants i think they are not strict about it , sm saying this from my experiance and few frnds so rather than waiting for finishing ur degree u might want to take a chance by applying ahead, becoz i know it will be easier for intl students to have PR by the time they finish their studies

My qn - How long will it take from medicals to PR? Will it be faster in newyork consulate compared to buffalo?

nothing more good luck

Hey vikky,

How did you show 1 year work experience? Did you work while you were in high school or you worked part time during your undergrad?...I want to apply as a skilled worker but don´t know if my part time work experience will get me 15 pts...

Hi..

I tell my friends thesame thing. There is a pilot program for international student, so it is improtant to send in an application maybe in your third year entering your 4th year. This will make it more easy in finding a job after gratuation.

For peter griffin, I proved that i worked in my country for 2 years before coming to Canada. I also worked in my University Library for about 2 years (Part time), and i did a work term as a business student (one year).

I think you should give it a try, it does not hurt to try.

Cheers
