Subject: Questions: Temp work visa, facilitated processing
  Hello,

Sorry, I have loads of questions here. I would really appreciate it if there´s somebody out there with experience on this field who is willing to share those experiences with me.
We are a married couple from Holland and we would like to obtain a working permit for Canada by seeking a employer who will give one of us a job offer.

It is my understanding that on my application I will need to send only the following documents:
-application form
-two photos
-proof of payment
-copy of passport
-copy of job offer
-certificate of good behaviour

1. I have been working in IT for several years. It is my intention to apply for a work permit using the "facilitated processing for information technology workers". After getting a job offer do I need to add any specific documents to the application as proof that the "facilitated processing" will apply to me (like a diploma or cv)?

2. Is there any requirement for the Canadian employer (besides a job offer) to meet the demands of the "facilitated processing"? Any special documents needed in the application?

3. Are there any other special demands I have to meet in the case of an application using the "facilitated processing"? (like a medical examination)?

4. After sending in the application for the visa, how long does it generally take to process an application, assuming the "facilitated processing" and all documents are in order?

5. Is it true that the spouse of someone with a working permit can apply for a working permit for all job areas once in Canada without any additional requirements?

6. Do I need to prove my marital status in some way?

7. The documents of the job offer will probably state a starting date. We assume the starting date on the visa will be the same. Will it be possible to arrive in Canada beforehand to take care of some business like arranging a house, social security number, insurances?

Thank you in advance for your answers & Kind Regards,

Michiel de Jong

We submitted all copies of documents including sertificate of marriage, proofs of professional recognition, diplomas and work contract in person in the morning to the embassy. And paid fees. The same day in the afternoon and without interview we recieved medical forms. Next day we did medical examination. Month and a half later we recieved answer to submitt passports and the same week recieved work permit for two of us in person in Poland. They didn´t ask us of police clearance sertificate and originals of our documents. Hope this information will make sence. Good luck!
