Subject: ? FBI REPORTS
  Hi all,

Is it that CIC is now requesting everyone to repeat their FBI reports, even though submitted with application in the first place?. Does this mean that if we are expecting to recive IA soon we might as well apply for FBI report in advance, so as not to waist time?

Any suggestions?

SW Buffalo
AOR April 2005
IA: hopefully by May 2006 (If I follow the latest timeline trend)

That´s what I did. About a month before I expected to receive my IA I applied for the FBI clearance. I got it about 2 weeks after I got the IA, so I think it did save me some time. But who knows ....

Thanks Grendel, but did they actually ask you for the FBI report when you got the IA?

yes -- because I didn´t send them in when I applied.

When I applied the directions said not to send the FBI clearance until requested. They requested it with the IA

I get it. It seems that those who did not send it in initailly are asked to do so now. I sent mine with the application. Thanks for the info.

The FBI clearances are only good for six months at a time.
