Subject: It is possible ?
  Hi,

I´m planning on landing in june. I´ve been living in USA for over 15 years with an excellent credit. I read in this forum that in Canada this doesn´t count, you have to start all over again. I was planning
on buying a house once a get there. My question is, is there any po-
ssibility that I can find any company that finance this transaction
if I put a good down payment, let say 70% ? Does anybody know something about it ?
Any information would be really appreciated.

Than\ks

Hi mate,

Well do not make you feel unhappy, but unless you have a regular job and some income which will enable you to pay for the rest of the loan you get no company will help you...

My advice, transfer all your funds in a bank in Canada, (do not hurry to buy a house before living, getting used to Canada and the environment) try to settle down by finding a good job, rent a flat, raise your awareness of the country, the people, the benk, mortage systems in Canada then, think of buying a house...

Since you got the money, nothing will happen to your funds if you open a savings account in a bank which gives good.. interests... Just do not hurry, learn and wait, then go for action but in Canada and after some time ...

The best place to find out is a bank. They are the folks who are going to give you the maney after all.

If you can put down 70% you can buy second morgade. And have approvement from the bank even without a job. Second morgage if you buy house from the first morgage owner. It is easy. Our friends after landing in a 3 months did that with 35% down. But they bought townhouse. Bank gave them approval. And they both didn´t have jobs yet and 2 kids.
It was last year in Edmonton. It is very common here and you don´t need to throw money on rent. And without spare money on your bank account you can be eligible for money from government. And house could always be sold and that is it.
