Subject: Change of Residence Place
  Dear viewrs and advisors,

I hope you are fine. Thanks for the assistance you offer to people look to immigrate.

I applied with my husband and daughter ( my husband is the main applicant) on October 2005 (skilled workers category) and we received the arrival confirmation reply from the immigration officer on December 2005 and a file number was issued to us. He said only after 36 months we can expect a further reply or start of process! We live in Qatar (as residents) and this period of 3 years waiting seems to be too much! We are planning to return to our country (Iraq) after a year and a half from now to start the doctoral degree there. What will happen in this case? Can we go to Iraq and wait until the 3 years are over, I mean would our case remain valid? Where then the interview would be? Can we decide to choose the place of the interview (like in Jordan or Syria or maybe Iraq, Canadian embassy) or we have to come to Qatar or Emirates to have it (because we applied in Qatar)?

Please, your reply is very important for us. We would be very much thankful to your reply.

Note: we paid a law firm (immigration consultant) and we are represented by this firm in corrispondances with the immigration office. Do we have to remain like this or we can represent ourselves when we leave Qatar? Any more clarification would be appreciated.

Thank you again.
Hanan
