Hello,
I was just wondering if you can provide information to CIC in either french or english regardless where you apply (looking to apply in AUS)
Also is there any requirement to prove the relationship with your spouse when applying? Just wondering since me and my are spouse currently in different countries and there is no real requirement in the papers/application to prove the relationship (anyway spouse was denied permanent visa to aus...but i think a tourist visa would be ok, if necesary for an interview in aus...) but as i want to make my chances of a visa waiver the highest possible i want to address all issues...should i write a letter/statement about our relationship and commitement to eachother?

You can provide French or English! Yes you need to prove your relationship with your spouse! If you don´t your case will be rejected. I just received my permanent resident visa for Canada through the Sydney consulate and my total processing time from when I sent the application until I got my passport back with the visa was under 3 months. After the application was processed in Canada CIC sent it to Sydney were it was approved 4 weeks later. If you don´t provide enough proof they will call you for an interview and that adds anther 2 or 3 months to your case. I sent photo´s of my wedding and wifes 2 trips to Australia. I also sent copies of plane tickets, phone bills, emails and cards we sent each other and that was enough proof in my case.

There is another Aussie there and his application was also under 3 months! We actually got our passport request the same day and our passports returned the same day as each other.
