| Subject: Anybody from "early 2006" club still waiting? |

My application is in the so-called "early 2006" group. I see people on this forum from that group receiving their passport requests. I have been under the final review since at least Oct 2005 and still have nothing. I am curious how many other people are still waiting for their "early 2006" passport requests.

Count me on...medicals april 2005 and final documnets sent to buffalo by june 05.

same here and bad news from the local MP office, they contacted buffalo and buffalo said the background check is still pending, i don´t know why they could tell me "early 2006" if they are still waiting for the background check info.

count me in too, med april 05. erhg; dont worry, if buffalo gave u early 2006 message this means ur background check is complete. MP office contacts on ottawa and more off like CAIPS notes update on ur file. It will update when ur file comes up for final review. same thing happened to me, i contacted buffalo and they told me that "the file is complete".

we have the same timeline too, medical april 2005. do you think guys all of us who did the meds in april should be getting the good news in march?... it seems like it´s taking longer than the rest, others just 3-4 months...

Thanks very much for your kind words, i´ve been through up and downs in my application process, really frustrated now.
They sent out my second letter on March 05 but when i received it, it was May 05, 2 months later. i have no idea what went wrong in the mailing process. Now my friend who submitted the application one month after me have already got their PR card back.
The complication is that my employer wants me to start on May 1, if i don´t have the PR done by then, they have to go through HRDC which takes about 2 months including work permit.
Anyway, there is nothing i can do right now, i only hope the waiting process shall be over soon.

Thanks for all the replies. I think, for most people, "early 2006" means no later than March. Let´s hope that "early 2006" does not last until June in Canada.
I am frustrated as well but feel better that I am not alone. Misery loves company, I guess.

As you expected, I got a call from the company immigration lawyer today and he said buffalo sent out my PPR letter today. Guess the Caips and local MP are not that reliable, they are not working with the most updated information.
I believe all early 2006 cases will get the letter before April! Just hang in there!
