Will my application be rejected if I have not submmited my police clearence certificates? What should I do? Can i apply in India through my family for police clearence? Any suggestions. No, it will not be rejected. PCC from india can be submitted at a later date also. Relax, no worries.

Go and apply with Indian consulate in Canada. CIC will not collect it on your behalf. Go to the local indian consulate website and find the details. It taks 30 days to get it though after u submit ur appln.

You don´t have to go physically. You can mail your request letter, money and passport and they send back in 2-3 weeks if passport was issued at that location or 2-3 months if passport was issued in India.

Best way to obtain pcc for India (in reply to: india police clearence)
BEst way to obtain pcc for India ( if you are living abroad) to go to local Indian consulate and apply for it (mostly by filling misc. services form . It costs only $20. You need to fill 3 copies of this form, also u should have 4 photos as per US VISA standards and copy of all pages of ur passport. ( find out exact instructions at San Francisco Indian consulate website) . After 30 days you go to the consulate with your passport and they 1. stamp ur passport saying theat pcc for canada was issued. 2. they give u a letter with original seal which says that there is no record which may be problamatic for canada immigration...it is very simply...and the best way to obtain pcc for India if u r living abroad....
