Subject: two questions
I have two questions concerning Immigration issues, could you please help and answer?
First:
If someone owns a house in his homeland, should he sell his house before landing in Canada?
Is it possible to rent the house and transfer the yearly rental to Canada?
Second:
What do you think about Nova Scotia? Anyone tell me more about? Is it expensive as British Colombia? Are the people friendly there?
Is it a good place for a good life?
How much are the chances to have a good position for a University Teacher and Aircraft Mechanical Engineers?

Thank you, for help.

Question 1: Yes it is possible for you to rent out your house abroad and send yourself the rent in Canada. You don´t have to sell your house to land in Canada, as long as you have enough funds to settle in Canada.

Question 2: Although I´ve never been in Nova Scotia, I have heard great things about the people there. They´re extremely friendly...actually, like most people in Canada. It is much cheaper to live there than in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver. However, if you´re looking for a career in aircraft mechanics, you probably don´t want to go there. The job market for that kind of thing is in Ontario. I believe that Bombardier, the leading aircraft manufacturer in Canada, is in Ontario. By the way, it is extremely hard to get a job in Canada without relevant Canadian experience. It might be somewhat easy for an engineer, however, I am warning you ahead of time that it could take up to 6 months before you get a job in your field. I have friends who graduated from Canadian universities who couldn´t find jobs as engineers for almost 6 months after graduation. Anyways, good luck with the landing.
