| Subject: Candidate apply from US need to take IELTS |

Even candidates applying for Candian immigration from United States need to take IELTS test. I am right now in US on Work permit.
Are there is any other documents we can submit in place of taking test.
Taking the test is not the criteria, there is no exam center in the city I stay. Almost I need to travel 100miles to take the test.

There´s another one, the CELPIP, I think you can take instead. Not sure where your nearest centre is. But if your education (primary and secondary) weren´t in English, which it sounds like yours aren´t, you will be asked to take one of these ones, regardless of distance and money.

I work in US for 6 years and CIC wanted me to take the test though I submitted all documents supporting my English proficiency.
I travelled 600 miles from my city to take the IELTS test. If CIC asks, we have to do it, no options.
