Subject: Anyone with APP to PPR less than a year? |
Hi there,
I was wondering if any one out there had whole process completed within a year or about a year from Application to PPR? If yes, can you please post your full timelines just to understand. Thanks

(in reply to: Anyone with APP to PPR less than a year?) For the skilled worker category starting from scratch with no job offer? I´d almost say that´s impossible. Check out the waiting times on the CIC´s website. Even if there is someone here who´s done it, it depends where you´re from and your circumstances, but no way in less than a year recently!

(in reply to: Anyone with APP to PPR less than a year?) Guys,
This is posting is not to discuss about it. I know the current AVERAGE timelines. But I am just looking for exceptions and under what situation that happens. This is for in US applicants. Anyways, thanks for your input.
So, people with exceptions please post your timelines.

(in reply to: Anyone with APP to PPR less than a year?) Why would there be exceptions? Who´s so special that they can jump the line? You need a job offer, or try the PNP route. First come, first served otherwise. I bet you don´t get many <12 month replies!

(in reply to: Anyone with APP to PPR less than a year?) I heard this is possible, a friend in the US applied as a skilled immigrant in Buffalo then after a month applied for a temporary visit pass to Canada. I think this is what they call dual intent application. She applied for a temporary work permit in Ontario through a sponsor company. She got her PR card within a year, I think this is because she had a PhD in Berkeley.
