Subject: Prolonged Processing - Intentional?
  Hi

What´s the limit time frame given for early 2001 applicants to finlaize their applications? I heard about something till 2008 or so, but I see most if not all those cases have been already finalized. Does the late in porcessing applications could imply some legal questionaire by the head office of immigration? Why would some officer prolong the processing of some applicants without any obvious reason?

Thanks.

There is probably something wrong with your documents, missing addresses/phone numbers of employers, criminal records, inconsistencies between your forms and official documents, out-of-business employers, things like that. Its ok to contact the Visa office at this time or order CAIPS notes.

yes it is right, according to the sattelment aggrement which was approved on march 2005. the applicants who applied before 2002, can get the thier cases finalised maximum by 2008. 2008 is the deadline for clearing the backlog of 2001 cases.
