Subject: time period allowed for landing
What is the time period allowed to land? is it 1 year since receipt of immigrant visa? or is it 1 year since Medical forms were submitted? or anything else?

Its one year from the date of your first medical.

Your immigrant visa is stamped with the date of expiry (usually one year after your medical). You will have to land before the expiration date.

Is there any way to prolong the landing period?

Take another medical test and that will prolog your landing period.

prolonging the landing period (in reply to: time period allowed for landing)
HS, and everyone,
if I want to take another medical test to prolong my landing period, when and how do I arrange for that? I´m currently waiting for PPR, I guess in "early 2006" club. My medicals were done in July 2005.
thank you,

Hey, Leo, I heard that they sometimes give you an extension of the one year date from the time you took the medicals. Should be on recent posting. Good Luck. You still have time.
