  You asked:

"George and FWChelle show me where can i find that information on the CIC web site stating that;

you have to stay in canada for 2 years(730 days) out of 5 years to keep your PR status and renew it"

Here:

http://www.settlement.org/sys/faqs_detail.asp?faq_id=4000181
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomer/res-oblig.html
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/irpa/fs-residents.html

Now will you give it a break?

The thing is that if you do not stay in for 2 out of 5 years, you will have to go through the process of getting PR again. There is no renewal if you are out of the country longer than the prescribed time. It is not like renewing your driver´s licence. You go on and get a new one at the end of the expiry date. If you stay in the country longer than 2 of 5 years, the card is still valid. If not, you start over with the whole process again.
GOT IT!!??

"If you stay in the country longer than 2 of 5 years, the card is still valid."

NO. Your status is valid if you stay in the country longer than 2 of 5 years. But you have to renew your PR card as it expires after 5 years.

Jesus christ.

Hey Guys Just Chill!!!!!!!

Why dont you explain the whole Sh*t in a single statement?

:If you do not live in Canada 2 out of 5 years, then you have to start PR process again!:

There is no such thing like expiry and renewal or PR card. Its automatically valid or expired as you live or dont live in canada for prescribed period!

Whatever. We have a PR card right here with an EXPIRY DATE on it. It doesn´t automatically renew. You have to apply for a renewal, meet the qualifications, and there´s a $50 fee.

Otherwise, HOW DO THEY KNOW YOU´VE BEEN IN THE COUNTRY 2 OF THE 5 YEARS? They can´t automatically know, you have to TELL them. It´s an application process.

I hate to challenge your infinite wisdom, but you´re wrong, now get over it.

Here is the application for PR, RENEWAL, and replacement cards:

Here is the entire guide:

93.21.39 just validated FChelle´s point. Canadians don´t think this way or behave this way.

I, for one, am very pleased that in my family a Irishman married a woman from Dutch ancestry. I am also pleased that a German married an Austrian. I happen to love an Arab who lives in a country that was invaded by every civilization in the history of the world. I doubt that his gene pool is any purer than mine. Who cares!

45% of all marriages in Canada are mixed race. If this is a problem for you - you should find a different country to live in. That is how we live in our country - as one people regardless of race. If you can´t cope with it - stay away.

Thanks Sharon. 93.21.39 went out of his way to quote me from ANOTHER POST, and ended up making himself look like even more of an ass than he is.

And for what it´s worth, my ´gene pool´ comment wasn´t so much to do with purity, or DNA, it was to do with the stupidity of some people. Namely, the one above ;)

I know what you meant. I was just highly offended by his safari comments and the accusation that our culture has no morals.

It puzzles me why people who think this way are trying so hard to live in Canada. You would think they would want to avoid our culture and lifestyle like the plague. Is it the idea of free/cheap education and medical that makes our country ´tolerable´?

Gotta tell you... I have a real problem with this sort of mentality.
