| Subject: Got PP back after stamping-need urgent help-Sharon |
In the GENERIC DOCUMENT that came along with my passport that has the immigration-stamp, I see that the Expiry date of my Passport is wrongly printed as 27th April 2008 instead of 30th April 2008. Could you please tell me whether I can email this misprinting or just ignore it?

..........I don´t see anything given that it is PASSPORT EXPIRY DATE...I see CONFIRMATION OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE and below that GIVEN NAME, PLACE OF BIRTH, MARITAL STATUS, "VALID UNTIL" and HEIGHT. In this VALID UNTIL it is given 27th April 2008. I have a feeling that it is expiry of passport as the date is near the PP expiry date..........Please confirm.

It is better to call a cic call center and ask for the phone number of nearest port of entry. I called the port of entry to verify the documents to bring and they were very nice and completed the landing process last Saturday.
Also make sure that you go to the Canadian immigration office in the port of entry first before going to US side. They will first verify all the documents and details and then send you to the US side.

Also the validity of copr is close to the expiry of passport, while the validity of pr visa depends on validity of medicals. Please look on the back side of copr for explanations of each field.

The staff at the port of entry mentioned that i needed to bring just my passport and copr. I asked about bank statement, but they mentioned that those things are already checked by buffalo. I brought the bank statement anyway and it was not used at the port of entry. If there is any doubt, it is better to call the immigration office at the port of entry.

Does that mean that even if I have less cash in hand (less than 12659 CAD in my case, family of 2), I can land in canada?
