Subject: a newbie..seeking advice
  hello to all!! im a new member here...thanks i found this site. i got married last june and now preparing for the much awaited sponsorship application. any one could help me?(ty in advance) here are the documents that i prepared.
1.nso- BC, MC, death certificate(im a widow), BC of my son
2. baptismal cert
3.chat logs
3. 3 snail mails(we used yahoo IM)
4.telephone bills
5.few western receipt and bank receipt
6.trancript record of my son (9 years old)
7. medical from designated embassy doctor
8. receipts of hotles and some gifts bought here in PI and canada
9. plane tickets, passport stamps boarding pass
10. 2 NBI clearance before marriage and after marriage.
11. pictures of civil wedding, pictures with all my family and relatives, pictures from all the tourist destination we have been, pictures of us and my son
12. photocopy of my passport the new and also the old one

did i miss sometning or it is all the embassy need? i didnt require my hubby to send me monthly $$$$ because i have a small farm(enough to raise my son and provide daily living expenses) do i need to submit some of my properties acquired like car registration. i met my hubby in MRIC last december...i heard from a friend that embassy required 1 year relationship to be a bona fide marriage. is it true? is there a waiver interview for spousal interview?

Dear Sheilla,

I´ll try my best to answer your questions.

1. Your application will be well documented with all the documents you will send. (but send all of them : the more documents, the better).

2. you do not need to be married for a year. It is correct to apply right after the marriage.

3. there is a check list in the application. Be sure that everything you need is included.

4. and most important : say the truth and don´t try to hide anything. They will know anyway. If everything is clear, you will not need an interview and you will be in Canada faster.
