My girl friend lives in Canada and we want to get married
can I get maried there then apply for my papers or do i have to apply first.
What do I do

What you need to do is...
1) look on canada.gc.ca webpage most of your answers are there.
2) once you are married she will have to sponsor you (i.e. she will have to accept financial responsibility for you till you received a work visa)
3) I will assume you are in the United States (I am from Michigan and my now wife is Canadian). We married in Michigan because you can get your marriage certificate same day, unlike Ontario which takes 6mths. Upon marriage proceed to the border, tell them you are now married and plan to apply for permanent residency. They will issue you a visitor record good for varying amounts of mine (mine is good for 1 year). During that time you will have to apply for PR.
4) It is quite an expensive process; in the end I figure it will cost me about $2200 CND.

i am a canadian who lives in canada and my boyfriend lives in london. Unfortunately he does not have resident permit so i always have to travel to london to see him.Can i marry him in london and how can i get him a resident permit to come to canada

Hi! (sorry this isn´t a reply, but a question!)
Basically, my situation sounds quite like derrick´s situation.
I´m a canadian citizen & my boyfriend is a German citizen.
We now have planned to get married. We WANT to be moved to Canada in December of this year. We have looked at the Canadian Embassy website with a magnifying glass, but we just can´t seem to match it with our situation.
Is there anyone who can please give me a list of the necessary steps we can take to make this work as fast as possible?
