Hi,
I´m on PR in US and my wife is on Post Graduate Work Permit in Canada until end of this year 2006. I applied for my PR in canada and will be applying for her too. In case if we don´t get mine and her Canadian PR by end of this year, can she apply for Visitor visa so that she can extend her stay in Canada spend few months meanwhile we get our PR Done.
Anyone have any experiences on such thing, please share.

It takes almost 2 years to get your PR in Canada.

Can´t we get visitor visa extended every 6 months for about 1 year or more?

It´s not very likely that you will. The only other option is to re-enroll in school and get a study permit. That´s what I have been doing. It´s a pain, but it´s the only way (in my opinion) to stay in Canada while your process is completed.
