Subject: OK to be in & out of work while waiting for PPR?
  Timeline:
application 12/05
AOR 12/05

I scored 75 on the assessment (with myself as the scorer), and have more than 4 years experience in my SW field. I have a consulting arrangement until June ´06, then would like to to look around Canada for 6 weeks with my family. After the tour, I cannot be certain to immediately find a job in the US, where I am now a resident, so it is possible I would be unemployed when the initial assessment is done.

Anyone know whether the time off will negatively affect my chances?

Thanks,

looking around

You don´t need to be employed as long as you have the required experience in the past 10 years. Rest assured, it doesn´t matter whether you´re employed or not, especially in your case.
