Subject: For all FBI fingerprinting hopefuls....
I had a phone conversation with a representative at the FBI office, and they told me its taking 10 weeks for the FBI fingerprinting process.

I applied Jan 4th week. They said I will receive results in April 1st week. So much for the 12 weeks CIC gives you to get them done, its basically cutting it too close, in my case the date expires next week.

I am going to send my native countries police report and explain that the FBI report will follow shortly.... do you guys think the CIC will consider that ok ?

Also, my medicals were done 2 months back, but the e-client still says "In-Process", I am assuming its normal right ?

Thanks in advance.
Raj.

Raj, best bet is to send want you have from your native country first, and explain why FBI report is late, and that you will send it later. If you have a mailing receipt, (e.g registered mail), you might want to send a copy of this to CIC to show them when you applied for the FBI report and when FBI recieved your request.

FBI got mine on March 10th...waiting...I told them that I need to submit it to CIC by April 6th (guesstimation)..will see if that will help the process? i just thank God that i sent for it before i get IA!!

IDO-

Even if you get the stuff back from the FBI early, you still have to take the medicals after the IA (unless you already took them), and it usually takes several months for CIC to process the results of the medical and get back to you, so it´s not like rushing the FBI will really speed up the process of receiving the PPR (at least I think). I think the time it takes to hear about the medicals is the more crucial thing. You also have to send to CIC the FBI
print cards and evidence that you completed the medical, which in my case the doctor will send me a letter stating that the medical results were sent to Ottawa on such and such a date and providing me with a tracking number which I can use to track the progress of the package to Ottawa.
Good luck.

When I applied to Buffalo, I attached FBI letter which took 4 months from FBI.

Can you believe this? So, my schedule is very tight now and I was requested another FBI finger print.
I ask to waive but refused. I am about to be mad.

Request expedited service from the FBI; you need to put a deadline date in the letter and on the envelope. Mine took two weeks with expedited service. Good luck, Cho.
