  Dear All:
I am plaiing to land in Canada. When I applied for immigration I had legal status in US. But now I have the immigrant visa on my passport but I am out of status. I am plaiing to drive my car across niagra border. DO you think I willface any problem from US immigration side. Please share any information you may have. Thanks.

You won´t have this worry if you simply renew your legal status in the US.

You shouldn´t have any problem, because you are leaving US.
You don?t have to talk to US immigration unless you want to.

Yes, you can drive right through the US side. If they were to question you, they would be pleased that you are leaving because you are out of status--but avoid alerting them to this because you might want to get a new US visa some time in the future.

The only hassle is getting into the US, not leaving it.
