ok this may be a silly question but... what´s the best way to organize your application so it makes it easier for the officer?

can you place all your supporting documents in a file folder? do you have to staple them all together? what do you suggest to do?? there´s just so many pieces of paper!!

:P

Hi, me,
I put each category in a separate folder, e.g., application in one, FBI prints in another, transcripts in another, job references in another, and so on, and stuck a label on each folder. I think I also put the cover letter in a folder. I wouldn´t staple stuff together as it makes it difficult if they have to separate it. I neglected to check off some stuff in the application, e.g., never was in army, so they sent everything back in a neat pile without the folders. I sent it all back the second time without new folders. Make sure you include everything they request, with the right application fees. The exchange rate had changed when my application arrived so they sent that back, too. Good Luck.

I just organized all my documents in the order of the documents check-list form. Just use paper clips and staples where necessary. As long as everything is in order, nothing is torn and falling to pieces, and you have included everything, I don´t forsee a problem. I labelled things where necessary.

I didn´t use a file folder or anything...just stuffed it all in an evelope and off it went. My file hasn´t been rejected (yet).

i organized them in order according to the list they give, then put labelled sticky tabs on all personal stuff including emails, phone records, cards, personal letters and letters from people substaniating relationship.

I also took the one hour free session with an immigration lawyer and had her organize it for me in case i had done something wrong. She only put the applications first, followed by the pictures clipped up front.

waiting and waiting

I agree with Candice and waiting and waiting - I too put everything in the order of the document checklist. Mine was a fmily class application so on the back of photos I just wrote who was in them d/o/b and location. I stayed away from folders and stapling instead putting all photos in an envelope, all telephone bills in another and so on and so forth.
Hope this helps.
Just one more point as Bob mentions don´t leave anything to their imagination, no blank spaces etc if N/A just put N/A.
Hope this helps.
