Hi All,
I received my IA papers in hand today and saw tht my marital status is "Single" and IA docs do not have my husband´s medical papers :(
I made sure tht the spouse docs were sent to the embassy.
The agency thru´ whom I have applied said that they will email CIC and will let me know.
Did anyone experience this situation?
Will it delay my entire process :(
Please advise.

Hi Mamtha,
First of all, congratulations on your IA.
I am so sorry this has to happen. Well basically, it has already delayed your process because instead of scheduling a medical date, you are trying to correct/check on the mistake. Here´s hoping that the delay is not that substantial.
Just try to follow up the email/results from your agency....good luck.

Thanks Joe,
Hopefully, I will get to hear from them soon. It shows "single" on my papers, and thtz more disappointing. If they forgot to send me my papers, it had been a different issue. But if they think I am single, then lot of probs :(

did you find out if your payment to CIC for your husband has cleared back then? did you issue the draft/check in favor of CIC or your agency?
Anyways, just in case your agency ´forgot´ to send in your husband´s papers, IA stage is not yet too late to submit them but this will really delay the process.

Hi Joe,
I have sent them a Money order. They do not accept personal cheques. I have sent in favour of Canadian Consulate General.
Huh, don´t know what is happening. If I do my medicals and send them, it will be a fraud, because the status says "Single". So I cannot do anything but wait. But what if they do not send my husband´s docs within 60 days?
The IA letter says that medicals have to be completed in 60 days.
*sigh !

don´t worry about the 60 days since some corrections have to be done...unfortunately, waiting is the only thing you can do now :( good luck though.

Call the bank to see if the money order was cleared. I got 90 day time, wonder why they sent you 60 day. You have to fax them and find out if husband´s paper were received or not ? If the agency screwed up and did not send in the papers than it is not very good news, if they did send in the papers than the canadian consulate will correct the mistake and send in the new form with correct marital status.
They did make a mistake on my medical form, I called them they apologized and within two days sent me the corrected form.

I got my medicals then I got married, I added my wife and waited for her medicals to come when it arrived about 12 months after my medicals did, we both had medcals, I used the old form they sent me and we had no problem.

dont worry about the 60 days, if you have an excuse they dont stick to it, I waited over a year but I told them that I got married and I want to add my wife they said ok.

Gosh..!! U waited for an year for ur wife´s medicals??
