Hello group:
I am a software consultant, currently working in the USA. I plan to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
I heard from someone that I can send the complete application WITHOUT the Police Clearance certificates and furnish these later when they come by. This will ensure that my application gets a file receipt number right away.
The reason I ask is that Indian Police clearance certificate and FBI clearance could easily take 2-3 months and I could save this time by filing the application right away.
Please let me know if this is acceptable and if someone has had a similar successful experience.
Thanks so much for your advice.

Police certificates (in reply to: Consultant in US) Hi Rtn.
You should NOT submit your police certificates with your application. The visa officer will let you know when to submit these.
Would you be interested in having a professional advisor review your entire application prior to submitting it? It costs very little, and can help you avoid months (years???) of delays in processing. For more information, please visit http://www.e-ca.ca/eaudit.htm and http://www.e-ca.ca/efees.htm
Sincerely,
