YES...she is in control of the process....she can cancel it today if she wanted. Good luck with the relationship!

her going on EI will not affect her ability to sponsor. But I must tell you that the idea of you being more concerned about your PR application than the state of your relationship makes me wonder what is the purpose of your involvement with this woman. Is it for love or are you looking for a PR?

a little bit of advice from someone who has been married for a long time and is not married any more. You cannot change someone. They can change themselves- if they choose. Things that are important to you - simply may not be important to her. You might call it lazy - she may have another word for it.

Life is too short to live with someone you wish was different. It also really takes its toll on the love part!

Everything is in transition. May be lazy people just live more quiet and simple and soulful life. May be it is your opportunity to support her not her to support you. Just think with creativity. Another difficult advice is to treat your love person with the same pleasure and attention as you want for yourself from her for nine months. If nothing changes then you are free to do what you want. May be she is just in lack of simple brain chemistry or having dark nights and need more understanding and care for herself. Think if you can give her more or you can´t and need more for yourself. Be selfish but wise:)

nothing is more shocking that having a partner move in with you after you have been on your own for a while. Particularly true if cultures are different, or you have not been able to spend lots of time together.

The first time my guy came to stay with me was a horrible experience. We had been together almost 3 years long distance and had spent time together but not in my own house. when he arrived - I wondered what on earth I had been thinking. It took some real effort to find our way through that adjustment. We are still having to live apart so I can´t say we are through it all - but the worst is now over and I am glad we made the effort.
