Hello, everyone. I am a US-based PR applicant. This weekend, I have received my passport with the visa stamped on it. The visa expiry date is on May 15, 2006. My H1B expires at the end of May.
For personal reasons I was planning to spend May in the US and go to Canada in early June. To accomplish this, I was thinking about leaving for Canada immediately, landing there, waiting for the PR card, and then trying to return to US. I have two questions:
1) How long does it take to get the PR card after landing?
2) What is the best way to reenter US? Through my H1B or on a tourist visa?
I would appreciate any info.
Shawn

(in reply to: Hello, everyone. I am a US-based PR applicant...) PR Card will take 1 month and it´s better to back on H1B but keep Paystub,I-129 and Labour certificate with you. While going to canada they do not take your current I-94 so while coming back they will take your fingure print that´s all.
