Subject: I think I got it.
I got a mail in my inbox on the 23rd of this month from CIC but I am reading it today. The mail is as attached below. Is this the standard format for PPR, I think I got it at last.

YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA(S) APPEAR READY TO BE ISSUED

You are asked to appear at the Canadian High Commission, .....Address
IN PERSON any Monday, at 8:00 a.m, for visa collection. The visa will be valid until 17-01-2007 . The following information and documentation is required, within 60 days:

BEFORE WE CAN ISSUE YOUR VISAS YOU MUST:

ENSURE YOU PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION FOR YOU, YOUR SPOUSE AND CHILDREN

FAMILY NAME FIRST NAME PASSPORT NO. PASSPORT EXPIRY DATE

DD/MM/YY HEIGHT

EYE COLOUR

Your Name

Spouse

Child 1

Child 2

Child 3

Child 4

PLEASE CONTINUE THIS INFORMATION ON A SEPARATE SHEET IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL CHILDREN

CHECK THAT YOU HAVE ENCLOSED AN INDIVIDUAL PASSPORT FOR EVERY FAMILY MEMBER WHO IS ACCOMPANYING YOU TO CANADA.

CHECK THAT YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT PAGES IN YOUR PASSPORTS SO WE MAY INSERT YOUR IMMIGRANT VISAS

CHECK THAT YOUR PASSPORTS ARE ALL VALID FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF YOUR IMMIGRATION MEDICAL.

You should ensure that everyone in your family has a passport valid for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the medical examination.

Visas can only be issued to a maximum validity of 12 months from the date of the medical examination. (If your family has medical examinations on different dates, the visas will all be curtailed to 12 months from the date of the first medical examination). However, if any passports expire before 12 months, from the date of the medical examination: your visas will expire on the date of the first passport to expire. If your passports are due to expire, it is in your interest to send us NEW OR UPDATED PASSPORTS to ensure that your visas can be issued with maximum validity.

CHECK THAT YOU HAVE ENCLOSED TWO PICTURES FOR EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY.

These photographs must be taken with a WHITE BACKGROUND, not be stapled, glued or pinned (you can paperclip or attach them using an envelope). The photographs must be unblemished as they will be used to produce your Permanent Resident Card once you are in Canada.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL STRIVE TO MEET THE FOREGOING SERVICE STANDARDS, THERE MAY, HOWEVER, BE OCCASIONS WHEN WE CANNOT ISSUE YOUR VISAS WITHIN THESE STANDARDS. ACCORDINGLY, YOU ARE ADVISED NOT TO COMMIT TO ANY TRAVEL PLANS, PURCHASE TICKETS, OR TAKE ANY IRREVOCABLE ACTION SUCH AS SELLING PROPERTY, OR RESIGN EMPLOYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR IMMIGRANT VISAS.

Sincerely yours,

Canadian High Commission
