| Subject: Medicals outside Canada, should I or shouldn't I? |

Hi,
I had applied for PR at Buffalo office in March 05 while I was in Canada. I got my AOR in April and appeared for IELTS in Aug 05.
Then in Oct 05, I had to leave Canada because my WP was expiring. I didn´t inform CIC about that and continue to get my post in Canada at a friend´s address. Recently I have received the letter from CIC which says that my interview has been waived and I should submit my medical papers alsong with some other documents.
Right now I´m not in Canada but would be coming to Canada again in next 2-3 months. My queries are:
1) Can I apear for medical in any other country apart from Canada? If I can, wouldn´t that make CIC believe that I´m not in canada and so they would transfer my file to my native country ?
2) How much time do we have during which we can submit medical report ? can I submit if after 2-3 months ?
3) how much time does it take after medicals ? and can I be interviewd even after medicals ??

1) yes you can as long as the doctor is DMP
2)normally 90 days some visa posts 60 days its written in the letter that came with medicals
3)varies considerably, could be weeks, months or years, but for most its 1-3 months.

for your first question, it should not be a problem because they know your WP has expired already, and even if your outside Canada they normally carry on processing your file, besides anyone can go on a visit even if he is still residing Canada, the only thing I am worried about is that you have not informed them about the change of address, you should do asap and you can keep your mailing address in canada thats no problem with them.
