| Subject: how to know if under background checking? |

Hello, everyone
does anyone know if Immigration would notify of background checking by letter or not?
My medical result is supposed to expire end of April, 2006, still no info from Immigration, wondering if i´m under background checking. I applied under SW category in Aug of 2004 to Buffalo from Canada.
It would be highly appreciated if anyone could provide any info for my case.

background and security check is done after IA, that is a definite. you should get CAIPS and maybe you´ll find out what´s keeping them from deciding on your case.
