We were asked medical examination and police certificate on March, 2004, and we sent back all docs on May, 2004. We got a letter asking me to fill out background checking form at the beginning of June ( my husband is principle applicant), and I sent it back right away. We paid our RPRF on June 15, 2004. My question is: someone told me if we were requested to fill out background checking form again, then we need to wait for another 1-2 years to get it finished, is it true? Does anyone have similar experience? Thanks.

I have the same experience with my parents. They filed their application in April 2003 and in June 2004 they were asked to fill out the Security Check forms. We hired a lawyer and he asked for CAIPS from the embassy and there it was said that the proccessing time for that is 12-18 months.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please?
