Subject: Feels like I am stuck
I got PPR today and my medicals expire on may 6th 2006. Thus when i get the Passport stamped it will be valid till May 6th 2006.

I just got H1B authorisation but have not got it stamped. I can go to Canada but cannot come back until i get stamping! Is it true? None of the US embassies are giving appointments for the next 4 weeks.

Is there a way that i can land in Canada and still come back without having a stamped H1B visa? Is there any other way? I feel stuck.

Please suggest.Thanks.

Hi, I am not an expert on this matter, but what I know and studied over a period of one year regarding the same matter is that - you can go to Canada for your PR stamping and not for US stamping. Never mention or go to any US embassy for your US stamping. On the way to Canada, never handover your I94 new card that came with your approval notice so that you can come back and automatically get revalidated on the port of entry (while coming back)
You cannot stay more than 30 days in Canada if this is the case.
Hope someone correct me too if I am wrong here.
Thanks and all the best.
