Subject: skill worker
I hold two Master´s degrees ( computer science and biology)
from two US universities.
I have been working as a biological researcher for 4 years in reseach institutes in US.

My wife has a Bacharlor´s degree in economics in the US.
She will obtain her Master´s degree in finance in Dec 2005 from a US university.
She´s been working in the US for 5 years.

I am not sure who has a better chance under the skill worker application.
Does the field of study affect the application decision?
Does the field of study affect the processing time of the application?

Thanks in advance.

At present as your wife does not have a Masters degree you have a slight edge otherwise anyone of you can be the principal applicant. You can also decide this based on who has a better command of the English language and French.

Hi (in reply to: skill worker)
I am hopeful that you both will easily cross the required 67 marks. At present, I think you will secure better marks than ur wife. Why do not you go through the self evaluation provided at cic website for you and your wife and find out yourself.

thank you (in reply to: skill worker)
Looka Brasi,
Thanks for your reply. both my wife and I used the self assessment and we get about the same scores. I am slightly higher than her score because I have master´s degree but she doesn´t. While, she has over five years of work experience and I have four.
