Subject: Decision Made.
My application started processing on August 6, 2001. I finished my medical on July 21, 2004 and they received my right of permanent residence fee on August 12, 2004. They received the FBI fingerprints on September 6, 2004. I don?t regularly check my e-Client status. When I checked on September 21, I saw that the "medical records have been recieved. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." But I have yet to receive any notification from them about the decision. I am worried that the letter has gotten lost in the post or something. It´s already been five weeks, I am thinking of faxing the immigration office or making CIPS notes, or should I just wait? Can anyone give me advice on what I should do now?

Unfortunately, I don´t know. But when you will receive your letter, could you inform us because we could be in the same boat soon. Of course, it would be very useful to have your CAIPS notes.

Thanks a lot and welcome and good luck in your new country.

Hi,

Your Background Check must be going on now. You should receive PP request anytime (if you have no problem with BC).

If you do not receive instructions for additional medical tests within three months from the time of medicals then your medical is believed to be OK.

Looka Brasi,

I did not receive any passport request. That is what I am waiting for. It´s already been six weeks since it has shown "Decision Made," that is why I am asking for advice on what to do now.

Hi SM,

My 2 cents : I think you should contact the HK immigration office handling your case and ask for a status update as the Passport request documents may well be lost in the mail...good luck!
