Subject: Did my medicals yesterday!
  Hi everyone:

Just to let you all know that I did my medicals yesterday afternoon. It was a relatively painless experience. I had a fantastic doctor in Toronto who was incredibly sweet and efficient. I was sent to St Michael´s hospital for the X-Rays. I paid $182 with everything included (courier, xrays, taxes), quite reasonable I thought. They checked my height, weight & eyesight aside from the blood & urine samples that I provided.

In 2-3 weeks I´ll have to call the doctor´s office to get a tracking number to make sure my package reached Ottawa. That´s about it.

I welcome myself into the "Awaiting PPR" group. Here´s to hoping it will be sometime this year.

Cheers!

Hey,

Good to hear that.

Do you know how long it takes before the Ottawa office communicated your medical results to the visa office?

Doctors say that it takes them about two weeks to send to Ottawa. What happens then? What is the role of the Immigration medical office? Do they review the results? If so, could this mean that we are going to line up for another long long?

thanks

Thanks guys! Nice to see you around JCurious. I know you got your PPR already but it´s good of you to stick around. ThinkPad, yes I paid for everything when I sent my application in initially. Ela, not sure how long it takes for Ottawa to communicate the results. I think they just communicate to Buffalo if the applicant has passed or not. Buffalo does not review the medical results. That´s what the doctr told me anyway.

Either way, I hope I dont belong to any "early 2007" club.
