Subject: cost of living in Vancouver
Hi,

We are moving to Vancouver in coming May or June. I would like to know what is the cost of living in Surrey and Burnaby areas for a family of 3.

not cheap. How much do you hope to spend... everyone lives differently. appartment, house, car, public transit, do you normally shop at Walmart or Macy´s... give me your idea of a budget and I can suggest if it is realistic.

Toronto is about the same cost as Vancouver if you plan to rent something. if you intend to use transit...you should be OK with $2,500. It will be tight.

Average household gross income is $52,000 (so $36,000+/- approx after taxes). That is not a high lifestyle.

93.242... you can´t go by me. I have a good job and I have built a lifestyle accordingly.

Thanks Sharon.

We are thinking of renting an apartment, if available use the public transport. We are not heavy spenders and shopping is limited to Walmart type stores. We are planning to move our car from USA.
